Increase of Statutory Holidays

The Birthday of the Buddha is newly added statutory holiday from 2022 under the Employment Ordinance, making total 13 days of statutory holidays per year.

Starting from 2024, statutory holidays will further be increased progressively to 17 days:

Newly added statutory holidays are:
From 2024 The first weekday after Christmas
From 2026 Easter Monday
From 2028 Good Friday
From 2030 The day following Good Friday
